Storm Corrosion – Storm Corrosion

The long awaited collaboration between Porcupine Tree’s Steven Wilson and Opeth’s Mikael Akerfeldt finally came to fruition in 2012 with the self-titled Storm Corrosion album. These leaders in progressive rock and progressive death metal finally found the time to craft a progressive rock album of their own. The idea was to write an album without the constraints of genre, but Storm Corrosion does not sound like much of a departure from Wilson’s or Akerfeldt’s prior work, although it is still a unique album and has some of their best songs on it.
